Engineering Maintenance Manager (Control) (OCC) - TEL


Job Purpose


Manages a Control Maintenance Unit, responsible for performing Maintenance (PM), Corrective Management (CM) and Improvement Maintenance (IM) activities, in accordance with quality and safety standards, to achieve Key Performance Index (KPI).




  • Supervise functions of shift groups ensuring that PM, CM, OH and IM works are executed in accordance to established standard procedures / requirements.
  • Lead a team of Assistant Engineers in performing tasks in compliance with relevant procedures and instructions contained in Quality Procedures, Work Specifications, Work Instructions and any relevant change instructions disseminated.
  • Plan for the training and development of staff to be competent and proficient in their respective areas of work and prepare them for career advancement.
  • Responsible for the safety of self, peers at workplace; off and on trackside throughout working period.
  • Ensure plan scheduled PM and CM are performed timely.
  • Perform periodic risk assessment of control maintenance work and implement mitigations.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot and rectify all CTRL systems faults.
  • Manage control of maintenance spares.
  • Represent Control Branch in meetings/presentations involving inter-functional groups & external parties.
  • Conduct audit check on all maintenance records.
  • Respond to occasional recall after duty hours or for overtime work.

Qualifications & Work Experience


  • Diploma/Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with at least 5 years relevant working experience.
  • Relevant experience in Rail Industry relating to Integrated Control Supervisory System.
  • Relevant experience in SCADA domain.
  • Experience in leadership role.



  • Prefer to have Linux background
  • Prefer to have software troubleshooting background
