Senior Manager, Security & Emergency Preparedness
Job Purpose
The Senior Manager of Security & Emergency Preparedness will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies, policies and plans relating to security, crisis management and business continuity to ensure SMRT’s operational readiness. He/she will assist the Branch Head in working closely with various stakeholders to increase the preparedness of the organisation in response to a crisis, ensure compliance to security regulatory requirements and enhance workforce vigilance. This role requires close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders (e.g. LTA, TransCom, SAF and SCDF).
Responsibilities
Security & Emergency Preparedness Manager Senior Manager’s duties and responsibilities are as listed below. Note that the list is not comprehensive and related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.
• Oversee the efforts to review and translate relevant physical and personnel security regulatory requirements into Corporate Policies, Procedures and Management System Manuals; while ensuring they are current, maintained and communicated
• Adviser to Business Units on physical and personnel security matters
• Facilitate (including contract management) the Organisation’s ISO22301 accreditations:
o Develop and implement group-level business continuity strategies and solutions to ensure readiness of SMRT core business functions
o Guide and work with respective Business Units’ Crisis Management Coordinators on adequacy of BU-level business continuity plans, including risk assessments, business impact analyses and validation exercises
o Recertification and surveillance audits
• Review existing and/or develop new group crisis management framework, policies and plans, to ensure effective and coordinated response to a crisis
• Validate group and Business Units’ readiness plans and processes, including the design and conduct of internal exercises, and support of exercises conducted by external agencies
• Plan and execute conduct of audits on Business Unit’s security management system, controls and procedures
• Provide secretariat support to senior management during a crisis
• Prepare regular updates or reports concerning security and readiness to senior management, board members and regulator
Qualifications & Work Experience
Qualifications and work experience include:
- Degree from a recognised institution
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in security, crisis management and business continuity
- Relevant professional certification in ISO22301 Business Continuity Management
Skills
Technical skills include:
- Application of ISO22301 Business Continuity Management
- Security and crisis management concepts
- Proficient in MS Office applications
