Senior/ Systems Analyst, Applications

Job Purpose

This position will be part of the Digitial & Advanced Technologies (DAT) team and will be tasked with the support and maintenace of several application systems used by the organization, projects and related digital initiatives. The candidate is expected to deliver and manage digital solutions and products that support our business users, customers and solve challenges that come along. 

DAT manages a wide range of IT systems in SMRT using the latest technologies and tools to help the organization in its digital journey. 

You will work with users, vendor, partners and project managers to understand processes, pain points and create technical specifications. You will also be supporting your reporting manager and be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining software applications. 

Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of the Senior/ System Analyst are as listed below. Note that the list is not comprehensive, and related duties may be assigned from time to time.

  • Support and maintain application systems assigned in an end-user environment
  • Work closely with vendors and internal stakeholders on projects and support related work
  • Plan, execute and manage IT projects assigned for senior positions
  • Plan, design and develop applications using modern development technologies

Qualifications & Work Experience

  • Degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science/ Computer Engineering
  • At least 2 years of working experience in systems development and/or technical support in similar capacit
  • Good working knowledge in software development and SDLC methodologies
  • Good working knowledge on web-based applications development
  • Good working experience on mobile application development is an added advantage
  • Vendor management experience is preferred
  • Project management experience and involvement is an addd advantage
  • Full stack development experience is an added advantage

Technical skills include:

  • Microsoft .NET
  • HTML5 / CSS/ Javascript
  • Graph APIs/ REST APIs
  • Azure Cloud/ AWS
  • Mircosoft SQL/ Azure SQL (advantage)
  • Azure DevOps (advantage)
  • UiPath (advantage)
  • Qlikview / Qliksense (advantage)
  • Dynamic365/ PowerApps (advantage)
  • Workplace from Facebook (advantage)

Generic skills include:

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to take ownership and deliver results
  • Good time management skills
  • Good interpersonal skills, demonstrate analytical and multi-tasking capabilities with strong interest in detailed work
  • Ability to work independently, as well as be a good team player
