Technical Officer, Rolling Stock
Job Purpose
The Technical Officer, Rolling Stock is responsible to perform Preventive / Corrective and Overhaul Maintenance of SMRT Trains, Engineering Trains and Plant Equipment. He is also to perform fault attendance, fault diagnosis tests, troubleshooting, repairs and modifications to the Trains and Plant Equipment.
Responsibilities
- Work in any of SMRT Maintenance Depots or facilities, as assigned by supervisors.
- Work in rotating or fixed shifts (in accordance with MOM guidelines), as assigned by supervisors.
- Work at heights to perform maintenance activities (Training and qualifications will be provided by company.) Perform Preventive Maintenance on Trains, Engineering Trains or Plant Equipment in accordance with maintenance manual and/or approved work instructions, as assigned by supervisors. (Training and qualifications will be provided by company.)
- Perform Corrective Maintenance on Trains, Engineering Trains or Plant Equipment in accordance with maintenance manual and/or approved work instructions, as assigned by supervisors. (Training and qualifications will be provided by company.)
- Perform modifications on Trains, Engineering Trains or Plant Equipment in accordance with maintenance manual and/or approved work instructions, as assigned by supervisor. (Training and qualifications will be provided by company.)
- Perform ground shunter duty, as assigned by supervisors. (Training and qualifications will be provided by company.)
- Operate ground support equipment and tools safely in accordance with general handling practices, as assigned by supervisors. (Training and qualifications will be provided by company.)
- Drive train or locomotives or Road-Rail-Vehicles within depot sidings, test track and maintenance tracks, as assigned by supervisors. (Training and qualifications will be provided by company.)
- Operate company forklift or specialised rail vehicles as assigned by supervisors. (Training and qualifications will be provided by company.)
- Drive company vehicle for the purpose of work as assigned by supervisors. (For holders of Singapore Driving Licence. Familiarisation and authorisation will be provided by company.)
- Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Work Experience
- Nitec in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics or equivalent from a recognised institution.
- Fresh graduates welcome to apply.
- Able to perform shift work.
