Manager, Projects

Job Purpose

To act as Project Manager for contract management of Specialised Vehicles Projects to ensure compliance and fulfil customers’ expectation within timeline and budget.

• Develop project milestone and deliverables required to fulfil the milestones (includes plan and liaise with Procurement Dept. to procure necessary materials and services) and liaise with stakeholders to manage and track project progress.

• To liaise with Technical Design Team to develop technical solutions to fulfil contract requirements and customers’ expectation and liaise with workshop to carryout works according to technical solutions.

• To liaise with agency services and fleet management teams to carryout aftersales maintenance.

• To assist DGM Sales & Projects and AGM sales to prepare budget for business proposals.

Responsibilities

AGM Specialised Vehicles’ duties and responsibilities are as listed below. Note that the list is not comprehensive and related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.

• Manage Specialised Vehicles Projects contracts to ensure compliance to ensure compliance and fulfil customers’ expectation within timeline and budget.

• Lead Contracts Executive and Technical Design Team and develop various project milestones and (includes plan and liaise with Procurement Dept. to procure necessary materials and services) and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to manage and track project progress.

• To lead Contracts Executive and Technical Design Team to develop risk assessment and technical solutions to fulfil contract requirements and customers’ expectation and liaise with workshop to carryout works according to technical solutions.

• To track and report progress on workshop activities and progress to ensure that milestones are met within budget and timeline.

• To liaise with external parties on progress and come out with solutions to overcome operations challenges.

• To lead Contracts Executive and Technical Design Team to ensure that necessary projects operations services are carried out such as Integrated Logistics deliverables (e.g., Risk Assessment Report, Operations Manual, Maintenance Instructions Manual, Parts Catalogue and List, Checklists, etc.).

• To liaise with Agency Services and Fleet Maintenance Teams to provide necessary aftersales and future maintenance.

• Prepare regular meetings with all internal and external stakeholders to track projects progress and report the progress to DGM Sales & Projects and AGM Sales.

• Develop efficient workflow/ process to carryout project management and improve productivity and safety.

• Conduct Project Progress Review and After Actions Review, so that the teams could continuously learn and improve on how to carryout tasks.

• Assist DGM Sales & Projects and AGM Sales to prepare budget for business proposals.

• Take ownership on projects P&L and assist to prepare annual budget and monitor projects expenses.

• Drive workplace safety and KAIZEN initiatives (to generate additional revenue or cost savings).

• Any other tasks given by DGM Sales & Projects or Senior Management.

Qualifications & Work Experience

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma from a recognized institution or equivalent.

• At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

 

Skills

• Automotive / Engineering background and knowledge on vehicles bodyworks, maintenance, and trading.

• Strong with contracts requirement.

• Strong in contractor management. Generic skills include:
