Interchange Supervisor (Boon Lay / Joo Koon Interchange)

Responsibilities

Operations 

  • Manage daily operations of bus interchanges and terminals with the assistance of Operations Officers to ensure all bus services are deployed as per schedule.
  • Work closely with Bus Operations Control Centre (BOCC) to fulfil regulator’s Bus Service Reliability Framework (BSRF) requirements and perform investigations on bus services that do not meet the requirements
  • Support rail operation with bridging buses in the event of rail service disruption.
  • Conduct new Bus Captains orientation with assistance of Master Bus Captain and Bus Captain mentors. 
  • Perform all road diversions, road works, shifting of bus stops, timecard changes briefing with assistance from Master Bus Captain and workforce.
  • Conduct runtime reviews and fare evasion audits with assistance from Master Bus Captain and workforce.
  • Conduct Bus Stop surveys when required.

Facilities & Maintenance

  • Ensure first parade tasks are conducted daily for system functional readiness and timely reporting of findings. 
  • Liaise with facilities team to ensure bus interchanges and terminals are maintained according to regulatory requirements.
  • Manage bus interchanges and terminals cleaning and security vendors.

Safety

  • Conduct service routes risk assessment and safety briefing to the Bus Captains.
  • Manage site coordination for major accidents and conduct preliminary investigation for all road / workplace accidents and security incidents
  • Conduct safety inspection of bus interchange at least twice a month.
  • Conduct safety engagement and administer safety programme planned

Service Excellence

  • Perform customer service duty at Passenger Service Office (PSO).
  • Handle Integrated Feedback System (IFS) complaints and compliments.

Qualifications & Work Experience

  • Diploma in any field
  • Relevant experience in a similar environment, preferably in transportation industry

Skills

Technical skills include:

  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret operations performance 
  • Possess computing skills such as Microsoft Office.

Generic skills include:

  • Able to communicate effectively with people from different age groups.
  • Possess good leadership skills
  • Possess a strong sense of mission
