Analyst, Strategy, Enterprise Risk & Investment

Job Purpose
The Strategy, Enterprise Risk & Investment (SERI) Office is looking for a motivated self-starter to assist in financial analysis and modelling and supporting investment activities. This role is ideal for someone with financial modelling and analytical skills and a keen interest in project and business evaluations. The role will also have exposure to strategic planning and enterprise risk management.
Responsibilities
• Conduct in-depth critical analyses (quantitative/qualitative), business case build-up and financial models to evaluate business and investment opportunities
• Assist the business units in the end-to-end deal execution (including industry research and information collation, financial modelling, risk assessment, valuation, due diligence, structuring and closing), including preparation for tender submissions
• Contribute to various projects and initiatives by providing analytical support and collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Track financial, operational metrics and monitor developments of portfolio companies including valuation analyses and business evaluation
• Assist in identifying and evaluating potential risks and developing mitigation strategies
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations for senior management
• Other ad-hoc tasks as required
Qualifications & Work Experience
• 2-3 years working experience in investment and research, or corporate finance. Candidates from other fields with relevant or transferable skillsets will also be considered.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration or a related field.
Skills
Technical skills:
• Strong quantitative skills and numerical literacy; highly proficient with Microsoft Excel to develop financial models, and drive detailed and robust analyses.
• Programming / Coding experience will be an advantage.
Generic skills:
• Clarity in critical thinking and processing, ability to synthesize insights and define clear action plan from data and facts
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate companies, market trends, economic conditions, and competitive landscapes
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently without constant supervision
