Assistant Engineer, Depot Office (CCL)
Job Purpose
To assist Premise manager in performing preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and periodic inspections to Depot infrastructure to ensure a functional, safe, and reliable state for the users at all times.
Responsibilities
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance works in accordance with the relevant work instruction, Quality Procedures, Specifications & Standards, Work Safety requirements, Maintenance manual, Circular and Railway Operation procedures.
• To raise work order, plan and supervise Contractor rectification of defects works in accordance with the relevant quality procedures, specifications & standards, Risk Assessment, Work Safety Manual and Railway Operation Procedures.
• Cover the role of SPIC, PIC and PM duties and responsibilities when required.
• Responsible for the safety, welfare, attendance, training, disciplinary matters, etcetera of the direct workforce under his charge.
• Prepare & submit inspection records as per contract requirements.
• Planning and scheduling weekly Preventive Maintenance works and rectification works.
• Key-in daily work into SAP /Maximo/DMS entries for capturing of maintenance orders, applying permit to work and preparing work attendance record.
• Investigate incidents and recommend follow-up actions to prevent recurrence.
• Carry out corrective maintenance works to faults reported.
• Attending inspection for taking over of new areas in Tunnels that are upgraded by LTA or adjacent developer.
• To cover the duties of Premise manager when required.
• Assist Premise manager in control of contract payment, vehicle, tools, equipment & materials maintenance and spending.
• To perform data entry and procure materials. Assist Premise manager in preparation of specifications for calling quotations & tenders for repair and replacement works.
• To produce the work method and risk assessment after attending faults and guide TO for the work arrangement.
• To assist Premise Manager to perform Infrastructure Asset Management, such as ACA (Asset Condition Assessment), PSI (Periodic Structural Inspection), PFI (Periodic Façade Inspection) & 7-yearly painting cycle to meet the regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Work Experience
Diploma in Civil/Structural/Building/Facilities Engineering/Management.
Prefer at least 7 years of working experience in railway infrastructure maintenance and conversant with local building regulations, with knowledge of contractual matters.
Experience in administration (IT/MMS/Maximo/data entry etc.) and managing staffs & contract workers.
