Assistant Engineer, Facilities Management Services
Job Purpose
To administer the various contracts such as cleaning, pest control, landscape, and refuse collection in Circle Line Stations. The SAE/AE will liaise with the contractors to maintain a healthy working relation which translate into high facilities management standards in stations and premises. Lead a team to perform and carry out daily policing role in stations and premises for works done by cleaning contractors, pest controls, landscape and refuse disposal contractors, and to ensure that all works are carried out are in accordance with the relevant Quality Procedures, Specifications & Standards, Work Safety Requirements and Railway Operation Procedures.
Responsibilities
- To perform and carry out daily checks of stations for works done by cleaning, pest control, landscape and refuse collection contractors
- To ensure that all works are carried out are in accordance with the relevant Quality Procedures, Specifications & Standards, Work Safety requirements and Railway Operation procedures
- To conduct regular inspection of the stations and premises to ensure that the stations and premises maintain high cleaning and housekeeping standards
- To plan monthly contractor schedule and submit to Station ops
- To liaise with the contractors and build a healthy working relationship with them
- To carry-out the role of PIC duties and responsibilities
- To investigate on incidents and follow-up actions on the recommendation to prevent recurrence
- To maintain proper records of all activities / events and applying for permit to work
- To prepare and raise of reports and orders such as Work Orders and Variation Orders
- To assist in the contract administration and attend Monthly meeting

- To plan cleaning contractors engagement sessions
- To perform duties as and when assigned by the company
Qualifications & Work Experience
- Diploma in Engineering / Buildings / Facilities or any other relevant discipline
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Buildings / Estate / Facilities maintenance and contract supervision
- Preferably with supervisory experiences in Facilities / Building management
Skills
- Possess good planning, organizational, analytical, trouble-shooting, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and able to work independently as well as in a team environment with individuals of diverse backgrounds
- Computer literate with good proficiency in MS Office applications
