Assistant Engineer, Power (TEL)
Job Purpose
To Operate, Maintain and Repair all power system equipment installed in SMRT Thomson-East Coast Line (STEL) in compliance with our Quality objective as stated in our Quality Procedures (QP) / Work Instructions (WI) / Task lists.
Responsibilities
- To lead a team of technical officers to carry out and/or supervise for preventive and corrective maintenance works on SMRT power system in compliance with relevant procedures and safety requirement.
- To plan and execute maintenance schedule and staff duty rosters in consultation with EMM in most effective and efficient manner.
- To provide technical advice, information and instructions to other staff and ensure all drawings, diagrams, manuals and records are kept current and update.
- To assist EMM in conducting engineering and safety analysis, investigations
,and test. - Carry out and/or assist EMM supervision of corrective maintenance, upgrading, modification work and major repair work as assigned by EMM/SM. Prepare and submit reports on completion of work.
- To obtain COA and performing operation of electrical equipment.
- To comply and exercise safety at all times in accordance to Safety Procedures.
- To attend Permit-to-work for all internal and external work parties.
- To perform rotating shift duties.
- To perform driving duty.
- To conduct home-based safety talk and compile monthly O/T report.
- To ensure compliance with our Quality objective as stated in our QP/WIs/Tasklists in daily activities.
- To undertake any other tasks or functions that are incidental or ancillary to the performance of assigned work.
Qualifications & Work Experience
Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
At least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in maintenance and trouble shooting of electrical equipment.
Able to do shift work.
