Assistant Engineer

Job Purpose

To operate and maintain all electrical and power-related system equipment installed in SMRT in compliance with our Quality objective as stated in our QP/WIs/Work Records.

Responsibilities

1. To plan, lead and oversee preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance works on electrical / power system related equipment to meet the Quality objective as stated in our QP and ensure all work in compliance with relevant procedures and safety requirement.
2. To ensure the performance of electrical / power system related equipment in revenue operations meet the performance targets through effective scheduling of PM programs and co-ordination of CM activities .
3. To plan and execute maintenance schedule and staff duty rosters in most effective and efficient manner.
4. To provide technical advice and instructions to subordinates including sub-contractor personnel and ensure all drawings, diagrams, manuals, task lists, WIs and work records are kept current and update.
5. To implement ISO procedure and carry out IPA/JSA & SSPP as assigned & planned.
6. To comply and exercise safety at all times in accordance to Safety Procedures.
7. To undertake any other tasks or functions that are incidental or ancillary to the performance of assigned work.
8. Manage appointed contractors for rectification works
9. To support other ad hoc basis projects as PM/PIC
10. To carry out any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by Engineering Maintenance Manager / Engineer
11. To actively lead / participate in Kaizen Project to enhance and streamline maintenance processes and equipment performance
12. To mentor and provide guidance to newly promoted / joined AEs.
13. To cover EMM's duties when his supervisor is on leave.

Qualifications & Work Experience

• At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical equipment.
