Associate / Executive, Vehicle Damage Assessor
Job Purpose
To manage and administer the activities in the Accident Repair Centre.
1. Approve accident repair estimates for internal customers
2. Evaluate RFQ
3. Supervise a team of Technicians and in-house contractors
3. Approve technician's leave application.
4. Recommend staff overtime.
5. Recommend tools requisition / replacement.
Responsibilities
A. Accident/Improvement Work
• Ensure accident estimates are promptly prepared by estimators and liaise with surveyor if needed.
• Ensure accident repair is done within stipulated time allowed by surveyor/resurveyed.
• Ensure all cases of accident are promptly closed and documentation like invoicing duly completed.
B. Optimize Use of Resources
• Ensure no wastage of material/parts.
• Ensure all section members know their job scope well.
• Ensure all instructions are passed down clearly to every member.
• Responsible for any problem arises within the section.
• Ensure all estimates, job cards, and relevant documents are properly completed.
C. Quality Repair
• Ensure all repairs meet customers’ requirements.
• Check general conditions of the vehicles before handing over to customers.
• Obtain feedback from customers on the conditions of the vehicles after accident repair and act promptly on the feedback.
D. Productivity Movements
• Encourage staff’s participation in Kaizen and meet yearly department Kaizen saving.
• Drive down operation cost and increase staff productivity.
E. Workplace Safety and Health Roles and Responsibilities
• To participate actively in company safety movement.
• To co-operate and adhere to all In-house rules and regulations.
• To comply safety plans/Programs on Personnel, Environment,
Equipment and Processes within the department.
• To understand OSHA 18000 and ISO 14000 movement.
• Responsible for department WSH and Risk Assessment (RA) implementation and movement.
• Ensure all staffs do proper dispose of hazardous waste in an appropriate manner.
F. Others
• Align with Company Vision, Mission and Core Values
• Look after welfare of staff under charge.
• Look after the training and development of staff under charge.
• Conduct performance appraisal for staff under charge.
• Assist HOD on staff utilization.
• Any other tasks and assignments given by superior as part of training and development.
Qualifications & Work Experience
Educational Level : Diploma or Higher NITEC (Mechanical, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering)
Other Technical/
Professional Qualification : NIL
Experience : 3 Years in Automotive Industry, Traffic Police Investigative Work Experience an advantage
