Cell Controller, IMCC
Job Purpose
Integrated Maintenance Control Centre (IMCC) is a 24/7 maintenance operations centre which coordinates the conduct of maintenance activity for the sustainment of North-South and East-West Line. Based in Kim Chuan Depot, the maintenance controllers liaise with rolling stock, signal & communications, building & facilities, and permanent way department to ensure that faults and abnormalities are rectified timely.
Responsibilities
Controllers are assigned to control cells, each with a dedicated control focus over rolling stock, signal and communications, building & facilities, and permanent way maintenance activities. The duties and responsibilities of the controllers include:
- Registering reported defects and coordinating follow-up maintenance activities
- Coordinating with maintenance units to respond to emergencies and contingencies
- Coordinating with Control, Train, and Station Operations Department to ensure the arrangements needed to support maintenance work are in place
- Monitoring and reporting of signalling system readiness state
Qualifications & Work Experience
- Interest in railway and railway maintenance operations
- Ability to work on rotating shift: 0700 to 1500hrs; 1500hrs to 2300hrs; 2300 to 0700hrs
- Electrical Engineering Diploma and/or prior work experience with communication-based train control system signalling experience
- Aptitude and openness to learn
- Ability to work independently in the cell
- Team player and good communicator
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power point and Word
- Able to read and write in English proficiently
- Training will be provided on operating procedures and relevant system knowledge
