Operation Executive, Control Operations NSEWL

 

Job Purpose

  • Responsible to Head Maintenance Operation Centre (MOC) through his respective manager in ensuring day to day smooth and safe MOC operations.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Operation Control Centre (OCC) and Centre of Excellence (CoE) in providing required necessary information in supporting expeditious recovery of train or equipment fault along the mainline or depots
  • Timely update via social media (e.g. Whatapps) to the senior management of the recovery progress and the next course of actions as well as the followed up actions during End of Traffic (EOT).
  • To guide the respective Readiness Cell controllers in optimising the response process for equipment/service recovery during revenue service.
  • Ability to understand the functionality and sieving out essential information from the system enablers in MOC.
  • To collate data from individual cells, analyze and evaluate the fault trend.
  • To ensure all controllers in respective readiness cells able to perform tasks in compliance with relevant procedures and instructions contained in Operating & Quality Procedures, Local Instructions and any relevant change instructions disseminated.
  • Base on the available information, make timely maintenance decisions to minimise service delays or disruptions. He is to consult relevant CoE for any technical advice as required.
  • To comply with and exercise safety at all times in accordance to all Safety Procedures.
  • To be responsible for the safety of self, peers at workplace; off and on trackside throughout working period.
  • To ensure all the management instructions, operations information are properly documented in the handing & taking over form.
  • Conduct start of shift brief to all the controllers for the shift.
  • To prepare shift roster for the assigned readiness cell under his charge
  • Takes care of the controllers assigned under him in terms of administration matters e.g. approval of leave, appraisals and disciplinary matters.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the management during the course of his duty.

Qualifications & Work Experience

  • Degree / Diploma with engineering background
  • Minimum 3 years rail experience in any fields
