Senior Engineer, Electrical Safety Audit & Licensing

Job Purpose

To check, audit and ensure SMRT electrical installations and maintenance procedures are in compliance with Energy Market Authority (EMA) regulations and relevant electrical authorities.

Responsibilities

1. To assist in checking restricted license holders are working within the restrictions stipulated in the license on SMRT system and compliance with the relevant procedures and safety requirement.
2. To check that license holders compliance with established procedures in electrical work.
3. To check on the correct use of suitable electrical instrument and safety devices.
4. To investigate electrical incident / accident.
5. To assist the SMRT LEW on all matters relating to electrical safety, including submission of regular audit reports, dealing with queries on accident / incident, etc.
6. To conduct Electrical Safety Course.
7. Ensure compliance with Quality objective as stated in our QP/WIs/ Task lists in daily activities.
8. Undertake any other tasks or functions that are incidental or ancillary to the performance of assigned work.

Qualifications & Work Experience

1. Minimally Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
2. At least 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
3. Candidate with LEW (Licensed Electrical Worker) work experience will have an added advantage.
