Executive, ESG

 

Job Purpose

 

The candidate will join the Group Sustainability Office and support the Chief Sustainability Officer in driving sustainability-related initiatives to meet both the regulatory requirement and voluntary ambition of achieving our mid-term and long-term sustainability targets. This can be achieved through:

(1) developing the decarbonisation strategy and pathway for the Group,

(2) supporting sustainability-related initiatives across the Group, and

(3) enhancing information and data collection with the ESG Data Management System (DMS) to support reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities

 

  • Define and monitor key environmental sustainability metrics with guidance from the management and Board Sustainability Committee
  • Co-own the ESG Data Management System (DMS) with other key stakeholders as the main custodian of the corporate software
  • Engage in yearly sustainability reporting procedures, encompassing disclosures in line with international Sustainability Frameworks
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders to collect information and/or data for our Group Review, Sustainability Report, or periodic reporting to Temasek and relevant authorities
  • Handle periodic reporting, tracking, managing and analysis of data related to ESG. Recommend and monitor Group-level ESG activities and projects to enhance sustainability efforts and achievement of sustainability KPIs
  • Update the decarbonisation strategy and track the pathway for the group together with the Business Units, recommending possible solutions taking into account various growth trajectories
  • Assist to keep abreast of ESG regulation, trends, market development and technology to feed into the company’s sustainability strategies, including the sustainability pathway and roadmap, working alongside with the Business Units to define future improvement plans and assessing implications
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to collaborate and promote various environment sustainability related initiatives within the company and across Business Units
  • Bring environmental sustainability to every aspect of the company, integrating into various business functions of the company, including supporting and participating in any other Sustainability projects as directed
  • Provide support for secretariat work and related responsibilities
  • Provide support for the compilation of documentation for the ISO14001 environmental management system certification
  • Plan, monitor and manage all finances related to the ESG cost centre

Qualifications & Work Experience

 

  • University Degree, preferably in Environmental Sustainability / Climate Science, or relevant disciplines with at least 3 years of experience in the sustainability domain
  • Knowledge and experience in global environmental standards and frameworks: such as GHG Protocol, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), UN Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and others
  • Passionate in sustainability topics

Skills

 

Technical skills include:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programmes

 

Generic skills include:

  • Team player who is meticulous, analytical, and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills when communicating with key stakeholders (written and verbal)
  • Able to work independently
