Executive, Education & Recognition
Job Purpose
The aim of this Executive/Senior Executive is to manage and coordinate Education & Recognition activities for the Network System Maintenance (NSM) division.
Responsibilities
Education:
Promote safety and quality education and awareness across various departments in NSM by organizing Staff & Contractor Engagement efforts through Safety & Quality Workshops, monthly Safety Protected Time (SPT), bi-weekly Safety & Quality Talk (SQ Talk), yearly Staff Safety & Quality Engagement (Safety Day and Safety Night) and quarterly Contractor Safety Engagement etc.
Recognition:
As a Service Champion, coordinate all Service Excellence Awards related activities for the division:
1. Seek nominations from the departments for all quarterly and yearly internal (Trains Service Excellence Award, WeCare Award etc) and external (EXSA, TGA etc) Service Excellence Awards.
2. Craft the compliment stories to bring out the essence of the deed to meet the award criteria.
3. Work closely with the Corporate Service Excellence department to ensure the award nominations are in order before submission.
4. Participate and serve in all Service Excellence Award ceremonies.
Others:
1. Support Head of Department (HOD) in delivering the SQTM (Safety, Quality, Training & Maintenance Ops) Office objectives and work plan.
2. Perform secretariat role including preparation of presentation materials for safety and quality related meetings.
3. Undertake any other tasks as and when assigned and directed by HOD.
Qualifications & Work Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or management discipline with minimum 3 years of relevant experience. (or)
Diploma in engineering or management discipline with 10 years of relevant experience.
2. Experience in organizing Safety & Quality Programmes and managing Award Nominations will be advantageous.
3. Experience in operations & maintenance industrial environment or railway industry is preferred.
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong command of English language for compliment story crafting and report writing.
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills with the ability to interact with various stakeholders and all levels of staff.
- Self-motivated, proactive, resourceful, organized, able to work independently and a good team player.
- Meticulous with good attention to details and possess good time management.
- Service oriented in communicating and collaborating with internal and external parties.
