Fare Ops Specialist, Revenue Operations
Job Purpose
The Fare Ops Specialist will be responsible for supervising and guiding the team members in the PSM reconciliation, card ticketing operations and PTC fare evasion administration functions for NSEWL, CCL and BPLRT. The role shall also perform and manage cash float reconciliation function. The role is expected to provide operational reporting and updates of the functions to Senior Executive, Revenue Operations and Manager, Revenue Operations.
Responsibilities
Fare Ops Specialist duties and responsibilities are as listed below. Note that the list is not comprehensive and related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.
Supervise and guide Fare Operations Officers in the following functions for NSEWL and CCL:
• Reconciliation of cash returned to cash handling contractor against PSM shift-end reports.
• Raise any cash or card discrepancies for follow-up with stations or cash handling contractor.
• Generate monthly PSM report and other monthly statistics on related operations.
• Reconciliation of ticketing machine receipts.
• Manage any Passenger Claims when needed
• Reconciliation of EZ-Link card sales.
• Reconciliation of Penalty Fee and Notice of Offence collected by stations and report to Manager, Revenue Ops.
• Tabulate Fare Evasion statistics to Authorities.
• Perform periodical updates to work instructions, circulars and Automatic Fare Collection Manual.
Perform the following functions:
• Monitor cash float ordered by stations on NSEWL and CCL.
• Reconcile cash delivered to/collected from stations on NSEWL and CCL.
• Perform follow up on Investigation Request or Discrepancy Report cases on any discrepancy found.
• Liaise with station staff and cash handling contractor on cash orders and reconciliation matters.
• Escalate/Raise defects on internal systems used for cash handling matters.
• Main lead for section in the implementation of Advanced Stations Operations Management System (ASOMS for Fare Systems Department.
Qualifications & Work Experience
Qualifications and work experience include:
• GCE ‘A’ level / Diploma
• Experience in cash reconciliation or financial accounting
Skills
Technical skills include:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
• Good with numbers and basic understanding of financial accounting processes
• IT savvy with enterprise systems and digital systems
