Head, IT Business Relations Mgmt / Enterprise Systems

Job Purpose

The primary role of the appointed Head acts as the strategic interface between IT and business units. This role ensures that project management office and solutions align with business objectives, foster collaboration and drives value through IT – trusted advisor. 
In addition, he/she provides strategic leadership and operational management for all enterprise-level IT systems that support core business functions. This includes ERP systems, databases, integrations, and related applications. The role ensures systems are reliable, secure, scalable, and aligned with SMRT goals.

Responsibilities

IT Business Relationship Management
o    Partner with business units’ management layers to understand objectives and translate them into IT strategies.
o    Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across business units.
o    Serve as the primary liaison between IT and business units to ensure clear communication.
o    Provide strategic guidance on technological trends and opportunities for business units.
o    Managing project management office to deliver a healthy initiative portfolio for business units.

Enterprise Systems
o    Define and implement the enterprise systems strategy aligned with business objectives.
o    Drive modernization initiatives, including cloud migration and system integration. 
o    Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of ERP and enterprise applications. 
o    Ensure compliance with security, licensing, and regulatory requirements.
o    Establish governance frameworks for enterprise systems.
o    Ensure adherence to internal controls, audit readiness, and risk management.
o    Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and cost optimization.
o    Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate.

Qualifications & Work Experience

•    At least 12 years of experience in IT management, business relationship management, or enterprise systems management, including at least 5 years in a leadership role in a similar industry. 
•    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (required).
•    PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent project management certification (preferred).
•    Relevant enterprise systems certifications (SAP, Oracle, etc.) (preferred).
•    Proven track record of managing large-scale IT projects and enterprise system implementations (ERP, CRM, etc.).
•    Experience with cloud migration and system integration.
•    Strong background in governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements for enterprise systems.
