Head, Technologies (Digital & Advanced Technologies)
Job Purpose
We are looking for a Head of Technology interested working in a high impact corporate venture, building customer-centric mobile app platforms. You will be responsible for architecting and building these applications, as well as planning, coordinating, and directing all the Technology Team’s daily activities and providing direction and solutions that will enhance the Technology Team’s effectiveness.
Responsibilities
• • Define and implement the strategic architecture roadmap for the venture, with a focus on user acquisition, revenue growth, scalability, reliability, and cyber security.
• Collaborate and work alongside key stakeholders to ensure technology and architecture are aligned with business vision, and continued venture growth.
• Development and continual refinement of solutions together with stakeholders via agile approach to create customer-centric feature sets for your customers.
• Play an instrumental role in engagement, stakeholder management, and solution delivery to drive user acquisition, revenue growth and continued business development.
• Integrate Omnichannel online-with-offline products and services to meet business and Digital Customer needs.
• Work directly with the business, domain experts, product owners, to shape and design application solutions.
• Develop and implement client-side and server-side architecture as well as API test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
• Lead and inspire your software engineering team working to deliver the technology roadmap.
• Lead multiple value streams concurrently and Digital Customer satisfaction targets.
• Form relationships with product labs, R&D, of key vendors and partners to ensure we are abreast of directions.
• Establish our presence and reputation in the resource market through engagement in consortiums and key conferences, leading local events, sessions, and think tanks, and by engaging with colleges and higher education institutes.
• Capital and budget planning for Digital technology organization’s submission to Annual Operating plan
• Management of a small team (3 to 4 pax) of architects/solution designers, engineers or the equivalent.
Qualifications & Work Experience
• Degree in Information Technology or of a related field
• Minimum 8 - 10 years of experience with minimum of 5 years in a supervisory capacity
Skills
• Commercially minded and a strategic thinker
• Strong understanding of financial reports, analytic methods, and financial data tools are often required
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation and relationship building skills
