Lead, Digital Communications
Job Purpose
As part of a dynamic Corporate Communications team, you will actively manage and enhance SMRT’s reputation as the leading transport operator in Singapore. You will manage a team, conceptualize and implement integrated social media strategies. The work is exciting and fulfilling in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
This role sits within the Media Communications Team. The candidate must integrate the digital strategy across the broader communications objectives.
As a team lead, the successful candidate will be a digital communications strategist with integrated corporate communications experience, who can lead, develop, execute, and measure successful digital communications plans and content that deliver key message outcomes. The candidate will be responsible to listen, understand and have a good sensing of online sentiments of the brand and have some public relations background or relevant experience in communications.
In the role of Lead, Digital Communications, you will:
- Develop and review the social media strategy
- Create content, and creative social media plans that drive brand reputation and stakeholder engagement
- Curate relevant content with the right tone and approach to engage netizens
- Community management on our social media channels
- Lead the planning and management of all relevant digital platforms
- Manage agencies or vendors in the delivery where necessary
- Serve as strategic counselor and advisor. Able to think on your feet and out of the box when online issues take place. The person must identify issues or service lapses quickly to manage the situation
- Be a team player who is also comfortable with working across teams and with stakeholders and independently, ability to multi-task, and be opportunistic with creative ideas;
- Work closely with other functions within the Corporate Communications team especially the Media Relations team to communicate and amplify the best content in an integrated manner across different platforms.
Qualifications & Work Experience
- Degree in Mass Communications or relevant discipline with 8-10 years’ experience in Communications, preferably with social media experience
- Experience in leading a team

Technical skills include:
- A strong command of English, and the ability to write well in a variety of styles.
- An effective communicator in both verbal & written presentations
- Able to provide guidance to the team in content creation
