Job Purpose
Support VP Training and HOD in crafting enduring training blueprints for the Training Institute and teams on strategic partnerships with higher education institutions to elevate the organization's standing. Functioning as a hub within SMRT Institute nurturing collaborative alliances within and external, this position orchestrates a team of 4, adeptly unifying departments outputs within the institute through streamlined internal management reporting and work processes. Additionally, Lead Plans assumes responsibility for orchestrating annual workplans and tenaciously exploring avenues with other teams for business growth.
Responsibilities
Lead, Plans will be directly assisted by 4 staff directly under his/her leadership to fulfil the following roles and responsibilities.
• Review, and develop training cum business development plans, systems, and policies for the institution.
• Engage stakeholders in the review and identify learning & competencies needs to develop relevant and effective training plans.
• Assist in developing and managing group training plan, budget.
• Support the development and submission of business proposal.
• Responsible for consolidation and development of contents required for annual group review and sustainability reports on learning.
• Seek to establish strategic alliances with nationally and internationally recognized learning institutions for collaboration to up-profile our staff skills and professionalism
• Organize organizational learning programmes such as Learn & Lunch, HR Learning Series, SMRT Thought Leadership series, etc.
• Assist in performing environmental scans on learning & competencies related developments, trends, and funding schemes.
• Develop and maintain communication plan for training institute to promote training and learning
• Centrally collect, process, and analyze learning, training and competencies related data for sharing with all business units and development of action training plans.
• Assist VP Training in the review and establishment of institute risk management plan.
Qualifications & Work Experience
Qualifications include:
• Bachelor’s Degree with at least 3 years of Learning and Development and/or business development experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, data analysis and familiarity with a Learning Management System will have an advantage.
Skills
Technical skills include:
• Interest in policy & competency development/management and organizational learning
• Preferably with experience in budget management
Generic skills include:
• Organised, meticulous and have good leadership and communication skills
