Lead, Stakeholder Engagement
Job Purpose
This is a dynamic role which involves aspects of engagement, marketing and publicity. Reporting to Head, Stakeholder Engagement, you will plan, lead and support the Company’s community engagement and CSR initiatives to raise awareness of our commitment and generate publicity around the Company’s altruistic endeavours. The work is fulfilling, challenging and exciting.
Responsibilities
You will be working in a fast-paced environment to:
- Manage and maintain relationships with, and proactively engage community stakeholders including grassroots leaders and industry partners.
- Support CSR programmes and corporate sponsorships that further entrench the Company’s social, environmental and to a larger extent, national responsibility.
- Build and maintain close working partnerships with stakeholders and key interest groups, collaborating with cross-functional partners to ensure a coordinated organisational approach.
Community Engagement
As part of a dynamic team, you are responsible for stakeholder engagement to manage the day-to-day implementation of community engagement and outreach activities for the Company. This includes maintaining relationships with community leaders, grassroots, and organisations with whom the Company may need to engage and/or collaborate with on matters relating to its business operations. Your tasks consist of managing and implementing community development activities throughout the organisation, including raising community awareness internally and externally on issues that are pertinent to SMRT, its constituents and the communities it directly impacts.
Corporate Social Responsibility
The commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) can enhance a company’s reputation and maximise its effectiveness. You will be supporting strategies which underpin the company’s CSR objectives and forging strong relationships with partnering organisations to positively impact on the community and promote environmental sustainability that further entrench the Company’s national and social responsibility.
Qualifications & Work Experience
- Degree in Mass Communications/Public Relations or related field.
- More than 10 years’ relevant experience in corporate communications and engagement, community relations and CSR, and managing teams.
- Possess ability to function at a high level in a team setting whether leading a group or as an individual contributor.
