Legal Counsel

Job Purpose
You will ensure the Company’s compliance with laws, regulations and policies as well as provide legal advice to Management to protect the interests of the Company.
Responsibilities
- Be familiar with relevant laws & regulations and Company policies. Ensure compliance with relevant rules, regulations, policies and procedures
- Formulate work processes and integrate such laws, policies as guidelines into work processes
- Identify, manage and mitigate legal risks
- Educate and train Business Unit on the above
- Review policies of other departments to ensure compliance with laws, good governance
- Be familiar with company law
- Liaise with various regulatory authorities and external counsels
- Review, draft, advise and negotiate different types of contracts, including tender documents, to ensure compliance with the Company’s directives and policies
- Review policies of other departments to ensure compliance with laws, good governance
- Provide advice and support to various project teams on relevant legal issues and processes
Qualifications & Work Experience
- Degree in law from a recognized university. Foreign qualified lawyers may apply
- At least 5 post qualification experience
- Preferably at least 2 years’ experience in in-house role.
