Manager, Applications

 

Job Purpose

 

The Manager, Applications will be part of the team of application subject matter experts that will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and development a wide variety of business applications used across the organization.

Responsibilities

 

The duties and responsibilities of a Manager, Applications are as listed below. Note that the list is not comprehensive and related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.

  • Support and maintain application systems assigned in an end-user environment
  • Work closely with vendors and internal stakeholders on projects and support related work
  • Plan, execute and manage IT projects
  • Plan, design and develop applications using modern development technologies
  • Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications & Work Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 
  • At least 3 to 5 years of proven experience in application development and support.
  • Proven experience in software development and SDLC methodologies.
  • Ability to design and code software using modern coding platforms or tools.

Skills

 

Technical skills include:

  • Application Lifecycle Management: Proficient in Azure DevOps for end-to-end project tracking and delivery.
  • Software Development Methodologies: Experienced in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall frameworks.
  • Programming & Scripting: Skilled in .NET, JavaScript, and database management (SQL).
  • System Integration: Hands-on experience with APIs and web services.
  • DevOps Practices: Familiar with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Postman for API testing.
  • Cloud Platforms: Working knowledge of Azure and AWS environments.
  • IT Service Management: ITIL-certified with experience in incident, problem, and change management.
  • Security & Compliance: Implemented PDPA guidelines, access controls, and audit processes.
  • Application Platforms: Developed solutions using UiPath, Dynamics 365, PowerApps, and PowerBI.
