Manager, Business Continuity & Resilience

Job Purpose

The Manager of Business Continuity & Resilience will be responsible for developing, coordinating and implementation of policies and plans relating to crisis management, business continuity & resilience program in SMRT. He/she will assist the Branch Head in working closely with various stakeholders to ensure the company’s readiness & preparedness, and that the company’s incident management processes and responses are robust & resilient, in the event of any disruptions to critical operations. He also assists Hd Business Continuity & Resilience in ensuring compliance and implementation of business continuity plans & policies as required by regulatory requirements and ISO22301.

Responsibilities

Business Continuity & Resilience Manager’s duties and responsibilities are as listed below.  Note that the list is not comprehensive and related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.

•    Execute Group-level business continuity plans and policies to ensure readiness of SMRT core business functions as required by statutory requirements. 
•    Facilitate and coordinate with respective BU’s Crisis Management Coordinators in preparations for annual ISO22301 audit / recertification.
•    Review existing and/or develop new corporate crisis plans and policies to ensure currency and relevance in tandem with organisational/external changes.
•    Execute incident management plans to ensure effective and coordinated response to a crisis, including the provision of support as part of the Group’s secretariat team.
•    Plan, conduct and/or coordinate exercises for Group & BUs to ensure organisational readiness in incident management.
•    Liaise with agencies and authorities (i.e. LTA, TransCom, SAF and SCDF) to facilitate planning and execution of matters relating to operational readiness and security. 
•    Prepare regular updates or reports to senior management, board members and regulator.
•    Plan and execute conduct of audits on BU’s Business Continuity & Resilience management system, controls and procedures.
•    Execute business continuity & resilience awareness initiatives to enhance workforce resilience.
•    Assist with any additional duties as required.
 

Qualifications & Work Experience

Qualifications and work experience include:
•    Degree from a recognised institution 
•    Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in crisis management and business continuity planning
•    Possess relevant professional certification and working experience in transport crisis management plans/operations and ISO22301 would be an advantage

Skills

Technical skills include:
•    Proficient in MS Office applications
•    Familiarity in relevant International / Singapore Standards, Codes of Practices, and regulatory guidelines would be an advantage

Generic skills include:
•    Adept at both operations and administrations with sound organizational planning skills
•    Team player, analytical, critical thinker and problem-solver 
•    Strong written, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
•    Ability to work independently and multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment
