Manager, Finance Shared Services

 

Job Purpose

 

This role will lead and manage a team size of under 15 to optimise financial performance and drive continuous improvements in the implementation of accounting policies, procedures, business processes and internal controls. He/She will partner other functional stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of FSS operations according to business needs.

Responsibilities

 

  • Daily operational oversight of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable areas
  • Direct the implementation of the Group’s accounting and financial control policies and practices
  • Manage financial processes to plan for adequate cash and funding requirements across the Group
  • Ensure good internal controls & segregation of duties are in place including compliance to the Group’s manuals, policies & local tax regulations
  • Lead the transition of pilot change processes through Go-Live and stabilisation within a 6 to 12-month period
  • Lead the continual review, improvement and streamlining of financial and management controls including new systems implementations and upgrades
  • Manage information requests for annual statutory audits, group internal audits and respond to internal control issues arising
  • Oversee and review quarterly GST reporting and facilitates ACAP and post ACAP reviews
  • Provides support, training, mentoring, and development to reporting staff on an ongoing basis to address more complex issues/ exceptions/ continuous improvement initiatives/ leadership skills
  • Liaise with stakeholders as necessary in operational issues
  • Any other advocate matters

Qualifications & Work Experience

 

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with minimum 5 years of relevant working experience
  • Experience in streamlining processes and workflows, working with senior management and management of accounting teams, preferably with full end-to-end accounting and corporate reporting experience
  • Experience delivering process change and process improvement projects

Skills

 

Technical skills include:

  • Strong working knowledge of Singapore and International Financial Reporting Standards, GST guidelines and other regulatory requirements
  • Working proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint

 

Generic skills include:

  • Strong managerial and organisational skills; accurate and detail-oriented 
  • Driven and proactive individual with strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to research and resolve inquiries and respond in a timely manner
