Manager, Learning Management System

 

Job Purpose

The Manager, Learning Management System, will be responsible for designing and developing SMRT's next generation Learning Management System (LMS). S/he will also ensure the smooth operation of the incumbent LMS and operationalize the organization's EduTech projects.

Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of a Manager, Learning Management System are as listed below.  Note that the list is not comprehensive and related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.

  • Work closely with internal teams and technology partners to analyse, design and develop next generation Learning Management System (LMS) in enabling Workplace Learning 
  • Manage LMS project scope, cost and timeline. Identify, mitigate and escalate potential project risks to ensure timely and quality project delivery. 
  • Provide timely updates to management and stakeholder on project progress
  • Work closely with system and process owners to ensure smooth system migrtion 
  • Track LMS performance. Identify, measure and analyze key success indicators.
  • Ensure smooth operation of the current LMS. Identify user pain-points and provide solutions to improve the learner/user experiences. Translate these lessions learnt into design consideration of the new LMS
  • Drive continuous process improvement. Encourage active stakeholder participation to redesign and streamline learning processes enabled by LMS
  • Strategize and build a Community of Practice for LMS admin users through collaborative learning 
  • Drive and operationalize EduTech projects to deliver new learning solutions and capabilities
  • Take on ad-hoc projects and duties as assigned

Qualifications & Work Experience

  • Degree in related discipline with minimum 5 years of relevant experience in similar roles. 
  • Good understanding of the Singapore Continuing Education & Training (CET) landscapre, SkillsFuture initiatives and Skills Frameworks 
  • Proven track record in previous Learning Management Systems implementation projects.
  • Relevant certification in cloud based Learning Management Systems such as SuccessFactors, Workday, Cornerstone will be advantageous

  • Good analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong in project management, information management and creative thinking
  • Ability to work and deliver in a fast-paced environment and within tight timelines 
  • Good understanding of Kaizen, Lean Management and Design Thinking

  • Demostrate good interpersonal and communication skills in handling diverse situations
  • Good stakeholder and vendor management capabilities
