Manager, SSQ
Job Purpose
Reporting to Branch Manager, Safety & Quality Office (SQO), you will be responsible for SQ Management, SQ Compliance & driving SQ Culture for the Division.
Responsibilities
Safety and Quality Management
- Oversee, develop and deliver L1 SSQ work plan.
- Provide regular SSQ performance update to Division Head, Trains SSQ and other related management review forums.
- Oversee the timely review and update of SSQ documents in alignment with Corporate and Trains SSQ Policies and Procedures.
- Perform as WSH Secretariat for Registered Workplace WSH Committees (as appointed) and member of L1 SSQ Meeting.
Safety & Quality Compliance
- Oversee, develop and implement the Division Audit and Inspection Plan, work with Division management and associates to implement Self-check Programs. Support L2 to L4 audit and inspection at Division.
- Report on SSQ performances and raise concerns/issues to Division Head based on finding from audits and inspection by L1 to L4
- Manage investigation of WSH and Security incident (including near miss) in the Division, and support L2 and L3 investigations.
- Ensure legal compliance on health, safety and security requirements are met.
- Advise Division Head on WSH risk assessments and risk mitigation.
- Comply with all safety and security (including cybersecurity) requirements and accord safety as priority.
Building a Strong SSQ Culture
- Promote awareness of SSQ in the Division via the various means, e.g. meetings, staff engagements e.g. Safety protected time, Workplace and other media.
- Collaborate with Division training function on SSQ training requirement.
- Execute SSQ outreach events and initiatives as directed by Division.
Qualifications & Work Experience
- Degree in Engineering/Business from a recognised institution with at least 5 years of relevant working experience.
Prior Knowledge in Quality Management and/or Safety Management will be preferred. - Good knowledge in Workplace Safety and Health Act.
- Possess positive attitude and good communications skills with ability to work across functional teams.
- Able to work independently and under pressure of tight timeline, self- motivated, resourceful and organized.
Willingness/required to work outside normal office hours and/or shift hours to perform audits.
