Manager, System Integration & Support (SIS)

Job Purpose

 

  • Head the daily operations and cross team project collaboration
  • Vendor management and contract negotiations with incumbent and potential service partners
  • Manage company resources (CAPEX and OPEX budget and schedule control)
  • Comprehend, develop and relay appropriate internal and external policies to internal stakeholders
  • Prepare quarterly business plans and ensure that milestones and objectives are met
  • Maintain cooperation ties with external stakeholders such as government, local authorities, and key-decision makers
  • Ensure that business continuity plans (BCPs) and interdepartmental Work instructions (WIs) are kept up to date

Responsibilities

 

Develop and Maintenance of Systems:

 

New Systems:

  • Prepare functional specifications based on operational needs for tender exercises
  • Drive overall process of developing multi-disciplinary interfaces
  • Manage and provide progress updates of projects to senior management
  • Review user acceptance test results
  • Ensure projects are delivered according to milestones set, strictly adhering to timeline

Existing Systems:

  • Point of contact for system design or interface issues
  • Work with vendors to enhance and improve operational capabilities
  • Collaborate with internal SMRT IT department for maintenance and improvement of in house systems
  • Track and ensure existing contracts’ terms are complied with in the interest of SMRT
  • Work with LTA and relevant stakeholders to ensure that bus management systems (CFMS and NOBE) are well maintained

Fare System Management:

  • Manage, check and implement bus parameters changes on time, perform software upgrade for depots' DAGW systems remotely and facilitate front end devices’ software deployment.
  • Facilitate testing of new bus parameters in workshop
  • Provide system support to users to enable accessing and smooth running of systems (in SeP and ABT (AFC) system for Bus users) correctly.
  • Work with internal and external vendors to ensure DAGWs are operationally ready, with no issues for data upload and parameters download and data is passed through interfaced systems correctly.
  • Participate in the relevant tests with authority (LTA Bus Team) to discover any critical defects in the changed software/parameter configuration before the new software/parameter is released and deployed to the production environment.

 

Qualifications & Work Experience

 

  • Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in IT Management, Engineering, or related field
  • Preferably with 5 years’ working experience in a relevant industry
  • Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Display understanding and appreciation of technology and use cases 
  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Experience with SQL, Python, or any analytical tools necessary to work with large volume of data is a plus
  • Strong knowledge and hands on experience in data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau
