Manager / Senior Manager

Job Purpose

Required to assist MD to identify, develop and implement business growth opportunities, sourcing for partners and identifying new markets to support business growth in areas of Information Communications, which includes enlarging the client base, broadening the breadth and depth of the services offer in Artificial Intelligence, Fibre Optics & technology.

Responsibilities

Business Development & Opportunity Management

• Identify, develop and pursue business growth opportunities, strategic partnerships and new market segments in Artificial Intelligence, Fibre Optics & technology.
• Support the Managing Director in developing business strategies and achieving operational, financial and revenue objectives.
• Engage with customers, industry partners and stakeholders to identify business opportunities and market trends.
  
  

Tender & Bid Management

• Lead and coordinate the end-to-end tender and proposal process from opportunity qualification to bid submission.
• Review tender requirements and develop bid strategies, pricing approaches and commercial positions to maximise competitiveness and profitability.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to develop technical solutions, project execution plans and cost estimates.
• Evaluate quotations from subcontractors, suppliers and technology partners to establish competitive and commercially viable pricing.
  
  

Financial Evaluation & Commercial Governance

• Conduct financial analysis, project costing, profitability assessments and business case evaluations.
• Perform sensitivity analysis and assess commercial risks and project viability prior to bid submission.
• Prepare bid approval papers and obtain management approval for pricing, commercial terms and tender submissions.
• Monitor budgets, revenues, margins and business performance indicators.
  
  

Risk Management & Contract Review

• Lead commercial, operational and contractual risk assessments for tender opportunities and awarded projects.
• Work closely with Finance, Procurement, Legal and Risk Management to review and obtain clearance of commercial and contractual terms.
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance, procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
• Lead contract negotiations with customers, subcontractors and strategic partners.
  
  

Procurement & Project Award

• Manage procurement activities following contract award, including sourcing, evaluation and appointment of subcontractors, suppliers and service providers.
• Ensure procurement activities meet quality, cost, schedule and compliance requirements.
• Administer contractual documentation, purchase orders and subcontract agreements.
  
  

Project Transition & Performance Oversight

• Facilitate project handover from the bid phase to project delivery teams, ensuring clear understanding of contractual obligations, risks and commercial commitments.
• Monitor project performance, key deliverables, budgets, subcontractor performance and contractual compliance.
• Support project teams in resolving commercial, contractual and procurement-related issues.
• Drive continuous improvement of bid, procurement and contract management processes.
  
  

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members involved in tendering, commercial management and procurement activities.
• Demonstrate strong leadership, stakeholder engagement and decision-making capabilities.
  
  

Qualifications & Work Experience

Diploma/Degree in Telecommunication, Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent preferred, with a minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in business development and telecommunications.

Skills

• Knowledge of Telecommunication wholesale & enterprise, Artificial Intelligence and Information technology market will be an added advantage.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
