Manager/Senior Engineer, Civil Structure Engineering (E&P), Civil & Structures


Job Purpose


  • To lead a team of Senior Engineer and / or supervisors 
  • To provide civil engineering expertise and solutions for the company
  • To improve engineering repair and replacement method
  • To provide technical consultation, advise and review on the Qualified Person’s submission for the company in relation to civil and structural engineering matters
  • To achieve management’s objectives, assigned tasks and directions of the company




  • To guide staff in exploring suitable materials or repair method to maintain building infrastructure effectively
  • To provide technical support or advices in civil and structural engineering.
  • To mentor staff in technical trials and studies
  • To review all design submissions, AFM submissions, drawings etc. from consultants/contractors related to structural design matters.
  • To prepare technical justification papers for asset renewal projects for submission to LTA
  • To review and comment on the Professional Engineer’s Periodic Structures Inspection Report and ensure the report is submitted to LTA promptly in the interest of the company.
  • To attend and coordinate in LTA projects (especially structural interfaces) during design stage.
  • To take the role as Management Representative where called upon in the various committee. (e.g. RIMP,Safety Committee,Investigation Panel,etc.) 

Qualifications & Work Experience


  • Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant 
  • 5 to 8 years civil/structural design or project management experience.
  • Experience in structural design, project management, project coordination and budget control. 
  • Well trained in problem solving and crisis management.



Technical skills include:

  • The latest Structural / civil engineering knowledge and expertise.
  • Good knowledge in latest LTA code of practice (CP1) related to structural maintenance.
  • Understand the structural elements for all infrastructure in the system.
  • Technology savvy to enhance the quality and effectiveness of infrastructure monitoring and inspection.


Generic skills include:

  • Resourceful, self-driven and independent.
  • Effective management skill to manage and motivate staff
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
