On-Boarding Officer, Contractor Safety Management Branch (CSMB)
Job Purpose
As the Onboarding Officer within the Contractor Safety Management Branch (CSMB), you will assume a critical role in the foundational stage of contractor engagement, focusing on contractors’ staff to meet SMRT’s stringent safety standards. Your efforts will align to promote the Contractor Safety Management Policy (CSMP), supporting a safe working environment across all SMRT projects and activities carried out by contractors in SMRT.
Responsibilities
The On-Boarding Officer duties and responsibilities are as listed below. Note that the list is not comprehensive and related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.
- Checking of contractors' documentation for alignment with SMRT safety standards.
- Checking of contractor personnel's safety licenses, certifications, credentials, and regulatory documents.
- Manage and facilitate the completion of the CSMB On-Boarding processes.
- Collaborate with the SMRTi Learning Ops, and other relevant departments to streamline the On-Boarding of Contractors.
- Ensure all safety documentation is in order before contractors start work.
- Maintain records of contractor’s On-Boarding processes.
Qualifications & Work Experience
- Diploma in Engineering or Occupational Health and Safety related studies
- Specialist Diploma in WSH (Level C) or equivalent is advantageous
- 3 years of work experience in WSH role is advantageous
Skills
Technical skills include:
- Good knowledge on Workplace Safety and Health Act, Regulations, Code of Practices
- and Singapore Standards
- Proficient in WSH Risk Management
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong leadership skills to manage tasks and deadlines
- Critical thinker and problem solver
- Strong report writing and presentation skills
