Senior / Executive, ECS
Job Purpose
The Senior / Executive will be responsible for leading a group of staff. She/he will be managing several teams of Assistant Engineers and Technical Officers who are responsible in maintaining the air-conditioning equipment, mechanical ventilation system, tunnel ventilation system, and their control system SMRT network in compliance with SMRT relevant procedures and safety equipment.
Responsibilities
Senior / Executive duties and responsibilities are as listed below. Note that the list is not comprehensive and related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.
Ensure that the team’s performance and productivity including maintenance, repair, fault attendance, installation and modification works are complying strictly to the Statutory Codes of Practices, Work Instructions/Task lists, Work Safety Manual/Procedures, Quality Procedures, Department and Division Standards, Quality Assurance System in accordance with ISO standards and HSEMS
Review the submission of Monthly Work Schedules for maintenance works prepared by maintenance teams
Ensure that the monthly maintenance work orders are carried out according to Work Instructions/Task lists and are closed in the SAP and Maximo promptly
Review the maintenance records and certify the safety critical record work completion and to feedback any fault or abnormality and to take remedial action if required
Ensure that the maintenance key performance targets are met on every month
Managing the asset conditions and ensure the safety and service reliability of the equipment
Ensure that all reported faults are followed up
Plan, execute and supervise major overhauling and retrofitting of ACMV equipment
Plan and execute staff duty rosters in compliance with regulatory requirement
Responsible to review the Purchase Requisition (PR) form raised by Assistant Engineer before being processed for Procurement
Prepare, plan, execute and control maintenance budget
Participate, review and update the Work Instructions or Task lists to ensure that all requirements are met
Prepare technical specifications and conduct tender site show round for maintenance or repair works
Coordinate and attend to interfacing works, testing, commissioning, and taking over of new installed ECS equipment
Prepare and manage the audits conducted by internal/external stakeholders. Follow up on any audit findings.
Perform investigation of accident/incident report and submit recommendation report on preventive action and or improvement to prevent recurrence
Qualifications & Work Experience
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Building Services or relevant discipline
- At least 10 years of supervisory experience or relevant working experience in operation, repair and maintenance of Air-Conditioning & Mechanical Ventilation system/Building Management System
- Familiar with Railway Operating Environment, regulation and practices
- Working experience on Modular/Screw type of chillers, VRV AC system or Building Management System would be preferred.
Skills
- Proven track records of managing staff in an operation and maintenance environment
- Demonstrate good leadership and supervisory skills
- The candidate should possess strong technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills on the ACMV equipment and Building Management System
- Has an eye for details and proficient with the relevant statutory codes and practices
