Job Purpose

 

The Senior Executive of Education, Promotion & Training supports the organisation in its drive to promote and nurture a strong safety, security & quality culture within the organization.  The engagement platforms include safety campaigns and events, internal social media, and workshops. He/she is to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders in executing his/her role. 

 

Responsibilities


To fulfill the duties and responsibilities listed below. Note that the list is not exhaustive; related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.

 

Education and Promotion
•    Plan and organise ground engagement programmes and promotion campaigns to engage SMRT staff on safety, security, and quality matter.  Examples are annual staff safety forum, staff dialogues, workshops and other related initiatives. 
•    Support the line units in SMRT Trains to drive engagement and education programmes relating to safety, security and quality using platforms such as corporate social media, multimedia, and other platforms. 
•    Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Human Resources, SMRT Institute, Corporate Communications, as well as the line units in driving safety, security and quality related engagements and campaigns.
•    Lead the team to develop and publish safety-related communication materials such as message posters, alerts, advisories, circulars and videos on various channels.
•    Coordinate, provide advice, support, and facilitate ground-led engagement events, working closely with the respective ground teams.
•    Oversee staff feedback channels and work with stakeholders to ensure action are taken and the feedback loop with staff is closed timely.

 

Award & Recognition
•    Develop and monitor awards and recognition for areas of safety, security, and quality, including determining the awards criteria, examine process flow of awarding, and oversee staff communications. Awards comprise monthly, quarterly and annual award systems.
•    Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in the participation of internal and external award competitions. 

 

Training Curriculum
•    Support Trains SSQ and SMRT Institute in developing training curriculum for areas of safety, security, and quality. 
•    Identify external safety, security, and quality related courses to support line staff in scaling up their competency in such areas, e.g., Human Factor Course.
•    Support Trains SSQ division to collate its internal staff’s annual Individual Development Plans for approval by Division Head, and to obtain approval for funding for the plans.
•    Consolidate and prepare annual branch workplan and budget in accordance to management’s guidance. 

 

Qualifications & Work Experience

 

•    3 years of working experience in similar role.
•    Experience in campaigns and events organising and management will be advantageous.
•    Trained or experience in web design, content creation on various media channels and video editing.
•    Degree in any discipline.

 

Skills

 

Technical skills include:
•    Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. 

 

Generic skills include:
•    Demonstrated strong organizational skills in previous work experience.
•    Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
•    Good team player with good communication and interpersonal skills. 
•    Able to multi-task and work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
