Senior / Executive Engineer, Frontline Maintenance (CCL)

Job Purpose
The Senior / Executive Engineer, Front Line Maintenance involves leading night shift operations to troubleshoot complex train faults, ensuring timely corrective maintenance and availability for AM peak hours. It includes preparing investigation reports for technical forums, attending weekly meetings with Alstom and LTA for reliability improvements, and coordinating material procurement and resource management. The responsibilities also cover reviewing contractor submissions for safety compliance, updating work instructions, and assessing technical bulletins for changes in specifications and maintenance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead night shift operations, guiding the team in on-site troubleshooting of complex faults, ensuring corrective maintenance for train availability during AM peak
- Prepare and present investigation reports to support root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Attend weekly technical meetings with Alstom and LTA to support reliability improvement initiatives and AFM activities
- Prepare and submit reports to LTA, including monthly progress reports, Work Group 1 updates, and Joint Team Meeting materials
- Develop technical specifications and oversee the procurement process for service requests and material acquisition
- Monitor material movement and manage serial tracking of repairable components to ensure timely availability and accountability
- Review contractor submissions, including method statements, ensuring compliance with technical and safety standards
- Draft, update, and validate work instructions and risk assessments for operational safety
- Assess Alstom bulletins for changes in technical specifications, maintenance regimes, and material requirements. To perform documentation creation or review (WI, QP etc.) to support daily operation and maintenance work under OCC Signal
- Perform maintenance control and status monitoring of CCL Maintenance Field Service works
- Perform response and recovery actions including timely deployment of field service teams and coordination of the required maintenance activities
- Prepare for taking over the new/ upgraded system through the participation in the inspection and testing & commissioning
- Monitor material movement and manage serial tracking of repairable components to ensure availability and accountability
- Provide technical advice and information to CCL Maintenance Management, MOCC or CC when required
- Undertake any other tasks or functions that are incidental or ancillary to the performance of the works assigned by Supervisor when required
- Responsible for their own as well as their Team’s Safety. Staff shall uphold the CCL Safety Mission and 3 principles to complete tasks, perform duties, fulfil the goals of the organization, and adhere to the individual roles and responsibilities
- Ad-hoc related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications & Work Experience
- Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Technology / Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
Technical skills include:
