Senior / Executive Engineer, Heavy Maintenance

Job Purpose
The Senior / Executive Engineer, Heavy Maintenance is responsible to provide hands-on engineering supervision, planning coordination, and quality assurance for high-impact maintenance tasks of Heavy Maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Support either PM/CM team with the scheduling, performance and monitoring of maintenance works, or Overhaul Section with the planning, performance and monitoring of overhaul resources and activities
- Analyse system performance (via F&D), perform trending of system faults, and provide areas of improvement
- Conduct detailed investigation for major delay fault and provide or implement remedial actions
- Conduct periodic safety inspection and audit on RS maintenance to ensure compliance with the specific standards
- Coordinate with other departments for any upgrading works and participate in T&C activities if required
- Generate system performance report for RS Branch
- Conduct review of work instructions, to improve work processes and enhance productivity
- Ensure proper documentation and completed records are kept
- Comply with and exercise safety at all times in accordance with all safety procedures
- Responsible for the safety of self, peers at workplace, off and on trackside throughout the working period
- Lead technical train or depot equipment related projects on behalf of the Branch
- Able to work at height (WAH) on the train roof, while donning the necessary WAH safety equipment
- Fit and able to climb staircases and ladders, stand for sufficient duration (4 hours)
- Lift and handle heavy machineries, tools, equipment, or spares of up to 5kg
- Able to work underframe of Trains, for sufficient duration (4 hours) which may require squatting and bending
- Occasional shift duty without affecting his concentration at work
- Undertake any other tasks or functions that are incidental or ancillary to the performance of the works assigned by Supervisor when required

- Ad-hoc related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications & Work Experience
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics Technology or equivalent from a recognised institution
Technical skills include:
- Knowledge of computer skills like Excel, PowerPoint, Words, Outlook and Power BI
