Senior / Executive Engineer, Signal

Job Purpose
The Senior / Executive Engineer, Signal is responsible to lead the Signal KCD Team to provide operational engineering and technical advisory and fault handling for operations, overview and monitoring of network readiness and operability, management, and control of all maintenance activities in the mainline supporting operations of Operational Control Center (OCC).
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance (PM and CM) of OCC Signalling equipment such as Database System, Networking, Overview Display System, Servers, and computers
- Manage the daily maintenance activities of systems equipment to ensure the smooth operation of these systems
- Perform documentation creation or review (WI, QP etc.) to support daily operation and maintenance work under OCC Signal
- Perform maintenance control and status monitoring of CCL Maintenance Field Service works. Perform response and recovery actions including timely deployment of field service teams and coordination of the required maintenance activities
- Provide maintenance support in major fault-finding and investigation
- Respond to emergency recall when required
- Provide technical advice and information to CCL Maintenance Management, MOCC or CC when required
- Forecast, maintain and track budget for OCC Signal
- Ensure compliance of safety procedures and promote safety awareness among the staff
- Prepare for taking over the new/ upgraded system through the participation in the inspection and testing & commissioning
- Assist in planning the maintenance strategy and organization to achieve maintenance readiness that in line with the project provision
- Co-ordinate work done by external parties including LTA, MHA, and contractors. Review of Permit-To-Work (PTW) applied by the contractors
- Assist Branch Manager to perform user administrative task as part of User Access Requirement for CCL Signal System (if any)
- Undertake any other tasks or functions that are incidental or ancillary to the performance of the works assigned by Supervisor when required.
- Responsible for their own as well as their Team’s Safety. Staff shall uphold the CCL Safety Mission and 3 principles to complete tasks, perform duties, fulfil the goals of the organization, and adhere to the individual roles and responsibilities
- Ad-hoc related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications & Work Experience
- Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a recognised institution.
- Previous Railway experience would be advantageous
