Senior Manager, IT Audit


Job Purpose


You will lead the Information Technology Audit team to conduct IT audits of the companies within the Group and provide assurance to the Audit and Risk Committee on IT risks over the various systems. You will also assist in the development of both the strategic long-term and annual plans for the IT audits.




You will be required to review the work performed by the IT audit team members in the process documentation, risk identification and assessment and evaluation of the adequacy and effectiveness of IT controls. This also includes making value-added recommendations to the Management, Audit and Risk Committee to mitigate the risks, prepare audit reports and following up on the implementation of audit recommendations. You may also be required to conduct reviews of applications and systems to identify potential risks and controls weaknesses.
You will also be required to assist in the following areas of work:

  • provide advisory in IT system pre/post implementation projects.
  • perform data analysis using CAAT such as Audit Command Language (“ACL”) Software.
  • implement Continuous Monitoring on processes.
  • perform IT governance reviews focusing on information quality and business implication of IT risks.
  • perform adhoc project reviews.

Qualifications & Work Experience


You should possess a recognised Degree in Computing / Accountancy/ Engineering or equivalent, with CISA / CISM / CISSP certifications and have at least 10 years of external and internal audit experience in Audit environment or commercial setting.



Technical skills include:

  • Experience in handling various IT operating platforms, databases and network devices, such as Windows, Solaris, MS SQL, Oracle, Cisco, Juniper and Fortinet.
  • Experience in auditing SAP R/3, COBIT, Internet & Firewall, AIX Operating System, Windows, Computer Centres, Application Systems and IT Processes, ACL, IT governance reviews and Continuous Monitoring. 
  • Experience in scripting and use of data analytics tools such as ACL, teammate.
  • Good understanding of cyber security controls such as intrusion detection, vulnerability management, concepts of penetration testing etc. 
  • Knowledge of cloud computing, Operating Technology (“OT”) systems, UIPath and Python would be an added advantage.

  • Able to work independently, have strong interpersonal, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills, as well as be able to lead the team to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Besides being analytical, equipped with good judgment and integrity, you should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills and be able to work effectively with all levels of management. 
  • Possess the ability to stay current with the latest technology trends, risks and developments and apply the knowledge/ learning points in our own environment.  
  • Able to articulate risks and IT observations using layman terms to senior management and recommend feasible solutions.
