Senior Manager, Operations

Job Purpose

The Senior Manager, Maintenance Operations Excellence is responsible for leading the maintenance operations, asset reliability, contractor performance, governance, and operational excellence functions across Stellar Ace's maintenance portfolio.

 

This role serves as the deputy to the Head of MET, providing leadership across maintenance operations, contractor management, asset lifecycle management, governance, audit readiness, KPI performance, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure a reliable, scalable, and audit-ready organisation.

 

The incumbent will drive the transformation of MET from a project-centric organisation to a Maintenance Operations Excellence model focused on reliability, governance, customer responsiveness, and sustainable growth.

 

Responsibilities

You will report to Head of Operation & Business Planning . Your job responsibilities shall cover:

 

1.Maintenance Operations Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end maintenance operations for all media and advertising assets.
  • Establish maintenance strategies to improve asset reliability, availability and performance.
  • Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance programmes are effectively executed.

 

2. Contractor & Vendor Management

  • Lead contractor governance and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, KPIs and SLAs.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and business reviews with contractors.

 

3. Operations Governance & Risk Management

  • Establish and maintain operational governance frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs, policies, statutory requirements and audit requirements.
  • Lead risk assessments and mitigation plans across maintenance operations.


4. Operations Excellence & Business Improvement

  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives across MET.
  • Lead process standardisation, digitalisation and automation efforts.
  • Strengthen inventory governance, billing controls and operational processes.


5. Asset Reliability & Lifecycle Management

  • Develop and implement reliability-centred maintenance strategies.
  • Monitor asset health, lifecycle performance and maintenance trends.
  • Drive improvement initiatives to enhance asset uptime and reduce recurring failures.

 

6. Performance Management & Reporting

  • Own maintenance performance reporting and operational KPIs.
  • Analyse trends and develop action plans to improve performance.
  • Present operational performance, risks and mitigation plans to senior management.

 

7. Leadership & Succession Planning

  • Serve as deputy to the Head of MET.
  • Lead, coach and develop engineering, operations and supervisory teams.
  • Build organisational capability and succession plans.

Qualifications & Work Experience

  • Degree/Diploma in Operations Management, Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Industrial) or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 12–15 years of relevant experience in operations, facilities management, asset management, infrastructure, or operational excellence environments are preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of proven leadership experience managing multi-functional teams, including managers, engineers, supervisors, and outsourced service providers are preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record in leading operations transformation, maintenance governance, process standardization, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Strong experience in managing large-scale outsourced contracts, vendor performance, service delivery, and stakeholder engagement within complex operating environments.
  • Experience in developing and implementing operational strategies, performance frameworks, KPIs, and continuous improvement programmes.
  • Proven ability to drive organizational change, strengthen governance, and build high-performing teams.
  • Experience in facilities management, infrastructure, utilities, telecommunications, or other asset-intensive industries will be highly advantageous.
