Senior/Accountant, Finance Business Partner
Job Purpose
This is a Finance Business Partner (FBP) role to support growing business units in the local transportation landscape. You will lead a team of two to three reports to collaborate with various stakeholders in a cross-functional environment.
Responsibilities
1. Business Units’ (BU) Financial Reporting and Management:
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with financial policy and procedures.
- Manage daily accounting functions of a portfolio of companies, including review of journals.
- Reconciliation of inter-co reconciliation and ensure no discrepancies in month-end balances.
- Liaise with AR & AP Shared Services team and Treasury on accounting issues for period closing, collections and payments.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing and statutory and management reporting with preparation of variance analysis, cashflow statement, accounting schedules and bank reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance of financial records with corporate and statutory requirements.
- Prepare annual budget, with monthly forecast and projections.
- Develop and coordinate inputs from BU for budget and projections, liaising with Group Finance and Financial Planning & Analysis to meet reporting deadlines.
- Draft financial presentation material to present data/figures.
- Liaise with external auditors for audited financials and XBRL filings for portfolio of companies.
2. Business Analytics & Costs Control:
- Engage with BU to stay updated on business and cost developments to challenge cost escalations and business cases to realize operation efficiencies.
- Identify or explore opportunities for more effective delivery of outputs.
- Actively participate in the learning and sharing of best practices.
3. Undertake ad hoc projects and analysis work when required.
Qualifications & Work Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or ACCA.
- 3-4 years relevant accounting and finance experience (with staff and people management responsibilities), with 1-2 years audit background.
Skills
Technical skills include:
- Good working knowledge in Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and tax regulations
- Good working knowledge with ERP systems, such as SAP and Anaplan planning & forecasting system
Generic skills include:
- Good interpersonal skills and communicate with all levels in the organization and stakeholders in both verbal and written English.
- Ability to work independently and operate in a fast paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
