Senior/Executive Compliance Branch
Job Purpose
The Executive / Senior Executive, Compliance Branch, is responsible for all WSH, operational safety and system safety related audits and inspections. This position will be working closely with all Lines and Division within SMRT Trains.
Responsibilities
Executive / Senior Executive or Senior/Engineer, Compliance Branch duties and responsibilities are as listed below. Note that the list is not comprehensive and related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.
• Execute risk-based audits and inspections programme for the different Lines and Divisions.
• Coordinate with the Lines and Division safety teams to plan and schedule audits and inspections based on the approval annual audit and inspection plan.
• Validate ground compliance to established authorized operating documents, work instructions and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare, issue and file audit and investigation reports.
• Trend and provide regular updates to management on outcomes of audits and inspections.
• Track and monitor corrective actions arising from audits and inspections.
Qualifications & Work Experience
• A diploma / degree in Engineering or Occupational Health & Safety related studies
• At least 3 years experience in conducting audits and inspection in similar or related industry
• Qualified lead ISO 9001 and/or 45001 auditor is advantageous
• Knowledge in SMRT operations and maintenance or other Public Transport industry is advantageous
Skills
Technical skills include:
• Good knowledge in Workplace Safety and Health Act, Fire Safety Act and their respective subsidiary legislations
• Proficient on Microsoft Office suite of tools, including Power BI, MS Forms, etc.
Generic skills include:
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with different levels of people
• Strong analytical and reporting writing skills
