Senior/Manager, E&L
Job Purpose
- To drive maintenance and operational engineering outcome for escalators and lift in the SMRT network.
- To deliver high systems availability and reliability. The work scope spans across maintenance management, reliability engineering, technical document development and contract management.
- To lead the team (managers, engineers, assistant engineers and technical officers) to achieve the job scopes described.
- To liaise with SMRT Train agencies, Land Transport Authority (LTA) and SMRT contractors to achieve the job scopes described.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for establishing and accomplishing department goals and objectives, which support the organizational vision and direction.
- Manages and coordinates maintenance activities so as to ensure lift and escalators in the SMRT networks are operational, serviced, and ready to meet daily service requirements.
- Oversees the development, implementation and regulation of high quality maintenance strategy and regime for the upkeep of lift and escalators in the SMRT network.
- Implements quality control measures. Develops and monitors systems of checks for compliance to maintenance procedures and safety rules.
- Monitors maintenance of assets maintained by external contractors. Ensures that quality and safety are integrated into all aspects of subordinate responsibilities.
- Provides technical assistance and support to staff as required.
- Prepares annual department budgets; monitors operating expenses; make adjustments necessary for the achievement of budgetary goals
- Provides direction and oversight on maintenance training programs to alleviate deficiencies and increase competency level for staff or career advancement opportunities.
- Responsible for reviewing, implementing, and updating Working Instructions and Emergency Operations Procedures relating to a variety of emergency situations.
- Lead an Investigation Team for peculiar defects and major disruptions.
- Other duties arising from business needs or as assigned.
Qualifications & Work Experience
- Degree in Engineering or Science or Real Estate or equivalent.
- Preferably with at least 8 - 10 years of relevant of experiences.
