Systems Specialist, Maximo

 

Job Purpose

 

The System Analyst will manage all design of Maximo module configuration and reporting including translating business requirements into functional blueprint and specification, which includes configuration, assessing and communicating impact and risks of changes which occur through the system development life cycle.
He/ she will provide solution to business requirement in including effort estimation (configuration, interface, report, data mapping), change impact analysis and ensuring technical integrity of the delivered solution.   
He/she will also perform system development and programming.

 

Responsibilities

 

The System Analyst duties and responsibilities include:

•    Understand and study the user requirements, perform feasibility study and propose sound solution, create functional specification (business blueprint) and/or program specification. Perform system development work based on the specification.  Conduct quality check, quality testing and fulfil the tasks based on the specification before requesting for user acceptance test.  Preparation of Functional Specs, UAT test cases, cutover activities. 
•    Follow the agreed timeline set by the team leader and ensure no delay of assignment. 
•    Troubleshoot system problems within Maximo system, carry out user operations support and ensure that user requirements are met.
•    Involve in Project implementation. In addition, you will be required to follow the SDLC documentation policy and will be involved and responsible for all types of system documentation. 
•    System configuration, Asset definitions, Global data set-up
•    Identify data loading, integration and data migration requirements. Develop functional designs and associated data mapping to accommodate the requirements and carry out the development and or oversee the development of the integration and/or migration as applicable.
•    Report development
•    Work with vendor or project manager on new integration with Maximo
•    Give application technical support for month end / year end closing cycles and internal/external audit.
•    Work closely with vendors and other team members to troubleshoot complex/interface issues and document solutions. 
•    Manage system incident tickets/service request to ensure SLA compliance and customer satisfaction. 
•    Carry out root-cause analysis, contribute to knowledge base, and provide recommendations for continuous improvements to workflow, process, and technology.
•    Perform other tasks assigned by the managers.

Qualifications & Work Experience

 

•    You should possess a Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology with at least 4 to 6 years of work experience in Maximo Maintenance and Material Management modules with minimum 1 implementation.
•    Knowledge in Integration with other modules SAP, Ariba and .net applications with highly analytical and good troubleshooting skills
•    Proficiency with Oracle databases and using SQL+ or similar products
•    Good functional and technical understanding and working knowledge of MAXIMO
•    Experience in add-ons like Maximo Anywhere and Maximo Mobile is a plus

•    Following skill set & strong experience for the support of Maximo:

  • Administration (organization and resources), Analytics, Assets module, Change module, Contracts, Finance
  • Integration module, Inventory module, IT infrastructure
  • Planning module: job plans, Preventive maintenance, Purchasing module
  • Release module, Security module, Self service module for raising service requests
  • Service desk module, Service level module, System configuration module
  • Task management module, Work orders module
  • inventory system integration with WMS, Purchasing

•    Experience in customizations and configurations in Maximo
•    Skillset in Maximo Mobile Suite, Maximo Anywhere, Report Designer, SQL queries, Oracle Database queries and Web Services
•    Skillset in Java and scripting languages (Java Scripting/Jython/Python)
