Train Driver (Part-time Contract)

Job Purpose
The Train Driver will be in charge to operate/drive trains during the Testing & Commissioning phase in compliance with safety policies and temporary operating procedures. The activity will be performed in depot and stations (mostly under construction) following instruction of Integrations and System Wide Contractors.
Responsibilities
- Operate trains for testing and commissioning within depot and stations.
- Manage daily operations of train control, Signalling and Communication systems.
- Perform functional and health checks and notify contractor of any train issues.
- Master train system functions and analyse train faults systematically.
- Apply professional driving standards and maintain situational awareness while operating the train.
- Contribute to service delivery performance and continuous improvement.
- Build an in-depth knowledge of train technicalities. Handle situations, incidents, accidents and implement recovery measures in a calm and systematic manner.
- Perform other duties as directed by his/her superiors.
- Perform any allocated shift of 3 rotating 8.25hrs shift duties.
- Able to work in a construction environment.
Qualifications & Work Experience
- NITEC/Higher NITEC or equivalent, preferably with Engineering background.
- Preferably with 2 to 3 years relevant experience in railway environment.
