Training Safety & Quality Officer
Job Purpose
To support POW Division on Training and Safety & Quality Tasks
Responsibilities
- To assist in the planning, compilation, and implementation of the SQT work plan.
- Assist in conducting training to POW staff.
- Conduct of safety/quality briefing in accordance with the latest near-miss, actual accident/incident for lesson learn (Company or Nation-wide) and those trending from the industry.
- Assist in planning and conducting Training Program of POW CoE
- Produce, vet, and circulate Monthly Safety Newsletters, Ad hoc Bulletin, Ad hoc Circulars or Notice or as per reported Incident/near misses, open report, or findings (Company and Nation-wide),
- Assist annual SQT activities/events such as sharing sessions or contractor events.
- Produce SQT report/presentation such as training report, quality & safety report and lesson learnt presentation or trending presentation/report.
- Quarterly Screening for update in local and international Acts, Regulations and Code-of-Practice and internal policy related to SQT.
- To stand in for SQT Trains Level, Divisional and Department levels safety/Quality meeting to update on Safety/Quality matters and Inspection findings.
- Conduct SQT orientation program to visitors/guests/fresh staff of POW CoE or accompany such Visitors/Guests - Ad hoc
- Attend SQT external event/course and SQT training for upgrade/update of SQT knowledge (company or nation-wide)
- Upkeep Training document and records.
- To be POC and POW/SQT/S&Q Representative in any audits (externa or internal)
- To assist annual internal audit on ISOs or others (e.g., Annual audit on “Internal Process Audit” Document as per Quality Procedure or Annual Calibration sampling/total audit on equipment/tools.
- To compile, analysis and present half-yearly SQT Training analysis.
- Produce e-learning programs, e-quiz, and other education materials of SQT.
- To take-on ad hoc tasks as per assigned by immediate supervisor or management.
- To provide monthly status on training fund.
Qualifications & Work Experience
- Must possess at least one year in training experience preferably in Railway environment.
- Must possess at least one year’s internal auditor working experience.
- Minimum three years’ safety working experience preferably in Railways environment.
Skills
- ACLP certification/Min Practical Instructor certification or Safety Supervisor certification
- Certification to ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001
- Other safety certifications such as NMO, NCO, ECO, or FSM etc. are added advantages.
- Must be Knowledgeable with MS Office software.
