Executive/ Senior Engineer, Electrical, Mechanical & Fire Branch - TEL

Job Purpose

Provide the necessary back-end administrative and engineering support to the maintenance teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operation and other maintenance activities. Carry out data analysis and trending by collecting system event logs, meter reading and fault records from systems. Setting up maintenance management system and data record to manage assets and equipment engineering performance and support.

Discuss and coordinate with Maintenance Management System administrator and Integrated Management System Team from time to time to set up and to incorporate our requirements of control and to monitor the status of equipment and system for traceability of corrective actions.

Task to investigate any incident/accidents, carry out checks to ensure safety aspects are met and guarantee quality assurance for overall achievement of maintenance requirements in compliance to SMRT Quality and Safety objectives that are according to the Quality Procedures, Work Instructions and Task lists. This includes implementation and maintenance of the Quality Assurance System in accordance with ISO9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

Responsibilities

•    Register new asset from LTA to the Maintenance Management System and set up maintenance regime.
•    Taking up the role of asset officer who monitors the asset life span and performance. this also include accountability for the asset and equipment. 
•    Prepare and submit monthly and 3 monthly System Failure Trend and Analysis Report. 
•    Assist in the preparation and submission of Work Instructions and Risk Assessment to the Authority for approval.
•    Handle all in-house training and external courses for the maintenance staffs. Liaise with Contractors on the equipment OEM training and certification. This includes tracking of staffs training and competency and provide and arrange training and assessment and manage the training record of all maintenance staff.
•    Be part of Workplace Health and Safety Committee.
•    Plan and conduct internal audits to ensure all maintenance works all carried out in accordance with the approved Work Instructions.
•    Responsible for maintenance activities and to ensure that the maintenance, repair, installation and modification works strictly comply with the SMRT Quality and Safety objectives such as Quality Procedures, Work Instructions and Task lists. 
•    Provide technical advice and engineering studies support to all maintenance activities on improvement works through innovation and leveraging on new technology.
•    Conduct review on Contractor’s design submission, asset data registration, attendance to site meeting/inspection, etc.
 

Qualifications & Work Experience

Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience

Or

Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
