Assistant Engineer, Permanent-Way Line Maintenance
Job Purpose
- Overall in charge for all Planned Preventive Maintenance as well as Corrective Maintenance works related to Track, Track Foundation, Trackbed and 3rd Rail System in SMRT
- Ensure all Line Maintenance works (PM & CM) are complied with approved quality procedure, work instruction ( ISO 9002 Standard)
- To achieve and maintain Key Performance Indicator set by Permanent Way Management.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all staff’s welfare, attendance, disciplinary matters, safety and maintenance work matters.
- To submit weekly maintenance programme to LM.
- To prepare monthly report on team man-hours
- To upkeep and maintain the office.
- To coordinate with Chief Controller on all fault reports and arrange for proper deployment to execute the work.
- To plan out all Correction & Preventive Maintenance works and ensure it is carried out promptly and comply to approved quality procedure and WIs.
- To check, compile Daily Work Record submit by staff.
- To conduct and brief staff on Toolbox briefing
- To carry out project implementation as and when assigned by supervisor.
- To perform PIC & PM roles.
- To attend to Emergency work when call by Supervisor.
- To assist LM on Track Quality report by :
- Reviewing and verify patrol reports.
- Assist with fault card
- Monitor and priorities assessment of track defect and quality.
- Input work request into Pway CM list.
- Monitor & coordinate work done in Pway CM list.
Qualifications & Work Experience
Diploma in Mechanical or Civil Structure Engineering
Possess relevant working experience in railway trackwork maintenance.
Able to communicate effectively and good team
Good Leadership.
Report writing.
IT literate ( MS Outlook , Words)
