Senior Systems Analyst / Systems Specialist (Cloud Platform Integration)

Job Purpose
The candidate will implement and design technical interfaces across heterogeneous environments securely using centralized middleware and reporting including translating business requirements into technical blueprint and specification, which includes configuration, assessing and communicating impact and using business rules to automate decisions related to a process or integration scenarios. He/she will provide solutions to the business requirement including effort estimation (configuration, workflow, interface, report, data mapping), change impact analysis and ensuring technical integrity of the delivered solution.
Responsibilities
Senior Systems Analyst duties and responsibilities include:
- Translate user requirements into technical specifications (of middleware) and perform feasibility study and propose sound integration solution, create program specification. Perform system development work based on the specification. Conduct quality check, ABAP Code Review if applicable, quality testing and fulfil the tasks based on the specification before requesting for user acceptance test. Preparation of UAT test cases, cutover activities.
- Follow the agreed timeline set by the team leader and ensure there is no delay in completing.
- Involve in Project implementation. In addition, he/she will be required to follow the SDLC documentation policy and involved and responsible for all types of system documentation.
- Monitor, facilitate and report the timely and successful resolution of all critical interface issues and risks. Make sure SOPs are practiced
- Develop, update and ensure the accuracy of the Interface Coordination Plan during all implementation projects
- Report the status of interface integration issues and their status via various communication methods on a pre-defined frequency to the application team
- Work with vendor or project manager on new integration with SAP, Non SAP Systems like Maximo, .net Systems etc. as well as troubleshoot complex/interface issues and document solutions
- Give application technical support for month end / year end closing cycles and internal/external audit wherever applicable.
- Manage system incident tickets/service request to ensure SLA compliance and customer satisfaction.
- Carry out root-cause analysis, contribute to knowledge base, and provide recommendations for continuous improvements to workflow, process, and technology.
- Any other tasks assigned by the managers.
Qualifications & Work Experience
- Possess a Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology with at least 3–5 years of experience in ERP implementation and support lifecycle using middleware, with strong understanding of business integration needs.
- Design and develop SAP PI/PO/CPI integrations, including ESR (Enterprise Services Repository) and Integration Directory configurations.
- Implement and support end-to-end integration solutions across SAP and non-SAP systems, ensuring reliable and scalable connectivity.
- Configure and manage SAP PI/PO/CPI interfaces, including routing rules, adapters, and backend system connections.
- Develop and enhance integration mappings using graphical mappings, XSLT, Java mappings, and UDFs, with solid understanding of PI/PO/CPI architecture.
- Administer and maintain SLD configuration and support SAP ECC HANA and cloud-based environments (Integration Suite/CPI), including migration from PI to CPI.
- Prepare and execute technical specifications, UAT test cases, and cutover activities, while demonstrating strong analytical skills, independent work capability, and effective stakeholder and escalation management.
Skills
Technical skills include:
- Demonstrate proficiency in SAP PI 7.5 and SAP Integration Suite (CPI) for enterprise integration solutions.
- Develop and manage interfaces between SAP and third-party systems (e.g., Maximo, Anaplan, Treasury systems).
- Configure and maintain integration components including SLD, ESR (Integration Repository), Integration Directory (ID), and central monitoring tools.
- Design and implement message structures and technical configurations, ensuring effective message processing and XML-based transformations.
- Utilize and manage connectivity frameworks (Proxy & Adapter Framework) and adapters such as File/FTP, HTTP, IDoc, JDBC, SOAP, RFC, and REST APIs.
- Apply integration technologies including SOAP, REST, OData, Groovy scripting, XML, XSLT, and JSON transformations within CPI.
- Prepare and support testing and documentation deliverables (unit/integration testing, user manuals, KT materials), while collaborating with ABAP teams and ensuring clear status reporting.
